Boji Boji Owa, a community in Ika Local Government Area of Delta was Agog when Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Elder Godsday ORUBEBE (CON) recently storm the Community with his entourage to condole with Chief Edwin Ologodo’s family during the celebration of the burial ceremony of their mother who passed on at the ripe age of 101 years.

His arrival at Barr Alex Ikpeazu’s House, where members of the Delta Elders, Leaders and Stakeholders forum had been having a Meeting and subsequently moving to the Burial reception scene changed the mode of the occasion as those present abandoned whatever activities they were engaged in and want to have a glimpse of the man who performed the MAGIC of turning Niger Delta Region from a state of squalor to a modern inhabiting Region.

The Cheers and reception which accompanied his arrival at the occasion coupled with recent events have shown that Orubebe is a Man chosen by God to be a Leader without ethnic or religious affiliation as his basis of discharging his God given duties to the society and mankind.
Although, the occasion was not a Political gathering, but the enthusiasm and manner at which he was received by the mammoth crowd, his distracters and those in opposition Camp were convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Orubebe is truly a Man of the People having shown his rare leadership quality in public office.

While addressing the unprecedented crowd, Orubebe said he has come to condole with a friend turned brother on the death of his mother at the age 101 Years.
According to the Minister, “ his relationship with Chief Edwin Ologodo dates back from when he was Delta State ANPP Chairman while Chief Edwin Orogodo was Ika North East Chairman.” He maintained that since then the friendish have grown to become one large Family.
The Minister offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the demise, adding that the least age of death of everybody present should be that of Chief Orogodo’s late Mother.

Dignitaries present at the occasion were the wife of the Hon. Minister, Chief Barr. Sam Osasa, Special Adviser to the Hon. Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Chief Barr. Alex Ikpeazu Secretary of the forum and leader of Delta North, Chief Ineh of Owa, Chief Nzuwuogu – former chairman Ika North East LGA, Hon Joe Utomi, former Chairman Aniocha South LGA, Chief P.S Nwakor, former Chairman Ika LGA,Chief Awele Nwaezeigwe – former Chairman Oshimili North LGA, Hon Mike Ekwu, former House of Representative Member, Ika Federal Constituency, Chief Jasper Arinmokwu Chairman Ika Landlords Association.
