LAGOS JANUARY 26TH (URHOBOTODAY)-It was all prayers and praises for Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan as Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Commissioner representing Ndokwa Nation, Sir Kenny Okolugbo celebrates mile stone achievements as DESOPADEC Commissioner.
In course of the celebration, the expand space in the country of Okolugbo, Obiaruku, Delta state was filled to capacity with mammoth who came to say celebrate his achievements and happy new year with him.
Those who spoke to Urhobotoday thanked Uduaghan for not only giving their son, Kenny Okolugbo the opportunity to serve in DESOPADEC board, but to have also assisted him morally and financially in the execution of projects in Ndokwa nation.

It will be interesting to note that with the small allocation giving to Okolugbo he was able to execute and commissioned no fewer than 50 projects within two years in office In DESOPADEC allocation of funds, the Ijaws get 29 percent, the Itsekiri get 27 percent , Urhobo get 21, Isoko 14 percent, while Ndokwa North which Okolugbo represents get only 4 percent.

It will be interesting to note that Okolugbo received smaller allocation, but performed beyond expectation of the people. His achievement spread across health, education, infrastructural development, Energy, road construction, security, water industry and transport among others.
Responding to question on how he got the inspiration to execute and commissioner fifty projects with the little resources available to him all within short period of two years, Okolugbo affirmed that he specifically got his inspiration from the Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan who gave him the opportunity to serve in the board of DESOPADEC.

“When I got the appointment, I told myself that I will align myself to the three points agenda of Uduaghan’s administration which are infrastructural development, peace and security, and human capital development. In essence my achievements are inspired by the his three point agenda and my projects were executed accordingly. That is why I said my inspiration has come from his Excellency Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan,” Okolugbo affirmed.
He maintained that completing fifty projects in a stretch of two years is a great achievements, adding that he is not only celebrating his achievements , he is also using the opportunity to say thank you and happy new year to Ndokwa people .

“That is why you are seeing the mammoth crowd here. Apart from His Excellency, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan who had done very well, I need to thank the special guest of honour Rt. (Hon) Victor Ochei When he was the Speaker of Delta State House Assembly he enable me to get key projects.
“I also thank Samuel Mayoku, the Chairman of Allocation Committee. I will not be doing my job if I did not thank him. With his connection, I have put in more projects than many of you would imagine. I also thank Hon Pat Ajudua one of our finest in Ndokwa nation,” Okolugbo disclosed saying he felt fulfilled and thank Uduaghan for his positive directive.

Speaking on the same vein, Kenny Okolugbo’s elder sister, who is Delta State Commissioner for Energy, Gloria Okolugbo thanked Uduaghan for the development in Ndokwa community.
Addressing a mammoth gathering made up of traditional chiefs, eminent personalities, students and teachers of Obiaruku Grammar Schoo, during the commissioning of the grammar school administrative block, a project executed by Kenny Okolugbo, she recalled how she saw the dilapidated structure of the school on the internet and appealed to Uduaghan to not only refurbish the school, but turn it to a modern school.

“Today, the story is a happy one. The school had been refurbished and it is now a modern school with one of the best educational materials. I thank Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.” She exclaimed.
Elated Principal of Obiaruku Grammar school, Mrs Beatrice Otono expressed her joy over the new development in the school.

According to her, “I am happy the school is wearing a new look. The new look is not only reflected by ICT centre donated to the school by Kenny Okolugbo, he is also built a new administrative block. I appreciate the efforts of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in enhancing the educational standard of the school.”
