LAGOS OCTOBER 5TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Urhobotoday can reliably confirmed that Reggae Super Star, Majek who was checked into the Abuja rehabilitation centre a few weeks ago by South-South billionaire, Ayiri Emami, who also owns 911 Entertainment has finally checked out of the home.
The rainmaker made his first trip outside rehabilitation home last week where he attended Warri Again event on October 1st and visited the Chairman of the Edo State chapter of PMAN Chairman, Maleke Idowu on October 2nd.
Majek had said that on his return to Lagos, he would be busy in the studio “because I want the whole world to see that this is the greatest comeback of all time. I’m coming back for real. Just wait and see. I will call you.”
Majekodunmi Fashekun popularly known as Majek Fashek is a Nigerian reggae singer-songwriter and guitarist. In his homeland, he is best known for the 1988 album “Prisoner of Conscience” which included the single “Send Down the Rain”, winning him several awards.
Also known as The Rainmaker, he has also worked with various artists worldwide including Tracy Chapman, Jimmy Cliff, Michael Jackson, Snoop Dogg and Beyounce.
Majek Fashek hails from the Western part of Nigeria. His father is a Yoruba man, while his mother is an Edo woman. The rainmaker identifies mainly with his Benin root.
