Madueke and Mother Appear in London Court, 27,000 Pounds Seized

LAGOS OCTOBER 5TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Embattled former minister of petroleum; Diezani Alison-Madueke today appeared before the Westminster magistrates court in London
She was said to have arrived at 10 this morning alongside her mother, Beatrice Agama who is also facing money laundering probe
But Despite all the charges believed to be leveled against the former Petroleum minister, the Westminster Magistrates Court only received an application for detention of cash seized from her and her mother under the Proceeds of Crime Act
£27,000 was seized from Alison-Madueke but it is still not clear when the cash was seized from her. The application was made by the National Crime Agency in the UK and the cash will be detained until April 2016
An undisclosed sum of money was also seized from her mother
