LAGOS MARCH 5TH (URHOBOTODAY)– The National Youth Coalition for Good Governance in Nigeria (NAYCOGG) has showered encomiums on Former President Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR) as he turns 76.
The Group’s National President, Prince Olatunji Olusoji made this known on Tuesday in a Press statement jointly issued by the group’s National Secretary, Christopher O. Okagbare and its South/West Zonal Coordinator, Folarin Abdulrazak Sode describing Former President Obasanjo as a bridge builder fostering National integrity in the face of grave political adversities.
The Former President was lauded in his democratic disposition that heralded a successful transition of government from one democratically elected administration to another and also for his prominent role in restoring the Nation’s economy after decades of draconian military regime.
Admonishing the role played by the duo of Obasanjo and Atiku in forestalling and protecting the integrity of the Nation, the group’s President has called on a similar holistic and comprehensive approach from prominent Nigerians most especially on the present administration stating that the unity of Nigeria and Nigerians remain non-negotiable
at all times.
“Nigeria as a Nation has come a long way and it is of common knowledge that we need each other to survive and in a bid to harness our unity and sustainable growth it is expedient for all stakeholders in the Nation to project a cohesive framework to achieve tenable results”.
Prince Olatunji also reiterated the group’s resolve in promoting and actualizing its primary objective of “harnessing nation building through cohesive support for good governance in Nigeria” which he describes as a collective responsibility towards Nation Building.
Even as he prayed God for more fruitful years to the man he described as a National asset.
