Delta:Senatorial Aspirant, Majemite Hails Urhobo Leaders for Pledging Loyalty to Jonathan

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial aspirant in the coming Delta Central Senatorial election and Personal Assistant to Delta State Governor on Political Affairs Olorogun Fred Majemite has applauded the executive of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) for pledging their loyalty to President Goodluck Jonathan during their recent visit to the Presidential Villa at Abuja.
Majemite who made the commendation while speaking to a group of journalist in Ughelli North PDP Secretariat Ughelli Delta state shortly after declaring his intention to represent the Urhobos in the Senate said UPU pledging their loyalty to President Goodluck Jonathan is a good development in the right direction adding, “ The President is one of us. He is from South-South. We have PDP government at state and national level. We cannot be in opposition.”
He advised the Urhobos to jettison the idea of being in opposition, adding they must be in the main stream of National and Delta politics in order to benefit from dividend of democracy
According to him, “People of Delta Central are saying they are being marginalized. This is because they are in opposition. My people in Delta Central are tired of being in opposition. We must be in the main stream of Delta politics and national politics
Majemite disclosed that Delta State Governor Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has been performing creditably well in term of provision of social amenities to the people of Delta state.
“After the reconciliation of all aggrieved PDP members in Delta State, the party has become a big family under one umbrella and this has giving Delta State Governor Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan the opportunity to continue with his massive development of the state.
Arguing that even opposition have agreed that the Uduaghan’s government is performing, Majemite pointed out there have been massive rehabilitation of roads, renovation of schools and repositioning of the health sector.
“The government of Uduaghan was emphasizing on intangibles like free maternal health care and free health services which the people do not see but do feel the positive impact. But the government was spending so much on them. Presently, the people can now testify to what the government is doing. Our schools now have value, new roads are being constructed and old ones reconstructed with bridges are everywhere to link all nooks and crannies. Now people are happy and they want to go along with PDP,” Majemite who urged members of PDP to support his aspiration for the Senate because he is fully qualified explained.
