LAGOS JUNE 13TH (URHOBOTODAY)- Lagos State Police Command has arrested a notorious cultist and serial rapist known as Wasiun in Lagos suburb of Ilasamaja. His arrest has put an end to the reign of rape in the area.
Wasiu whom Urhobotoday learnt, has been a rapist for a long time with the latest one being when he raped a 14years old girl.
“He locked up the girl in his room from 9am to 8pm and the girl was beaten and raped repeatedly before she was later released by Wasiu by 8pm.” A resident told Urhobotoday.
Wasiu was arrested by operatives of Ilasah Division led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Oriyomi Oluwasanmi, a Superintendent of police (SP), following series of complaints from concerned residents.
“He is a known cultist that is a terror to the community You needed to see jubilation by members of the community waving goodbye to him and telling him never to come back. He has been a terror.” a member of residents’ Association said.
Confirming the incident, Lagos Police spokesman, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police said: “He’s been arrested and detained for rape. He is currently undergoing interrogation with our gender desk unit .He would be prosecuted in court.”
