Lagos: Kidnapped Iba Monarch Regains Freedom After Payment of N14m Ransom
LAGOS JULY 29TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Kidnapped Lagos Monarch, Oniba of Ibaland, Oba Yushau Oseni has finally regained his freedom.
Report monitored in Eagles online revealed that the abducted monarch regained his freedom after his family paid ransom of N14m to his abductors. Available information has it that he was freed by his kidnappers on Friday The Oniba of Ibaland, was abducted on July 16, 2016.
The kidnappers had demanded for N500 million ransom from the family.
The family reached out to the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Police Command, both of which objected to the payment of the ransom.
The 74-year-old first class monarch was abducted from his palace on July 16 at about 8pm.
In the process of kidnapping him, two persons were killed, while one of his wives was injured.
