LAGOS SEPTEMBER 15TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Popular blogger Chris Kehinde Nwandu (CKN), Publisher of CKN Nigeria, has been granted bail. The news was broken by his friend, Emeka Oparah, who said that CKN “was granted bail this morning by Justice Mohammed Yinusa.”
Mr. Oparah, who updated his Facebook profile from the court, attached photos and wrote: “As you can see, he’s hale and hearty. He’s not down with any sickness. He’s not been maltreated. His bail application was heard for the first time today and he got the bail. He will be out as soon as he meets the bail conditions and his lawyers perfect the documentation.
“Hearing of the substantive case comes up December 10th.”
. Nwandu was arrested and remanded in Ikoyi Prison, Lagos, over an alleged false publication against a bank chief.
