Buhari to Lay Foundation of Biggest Africa Private Refinery in Badagry

If report reaching Urhobotoday, an online medium is anything to go by, it means perennial fuel scarcity in Nigeria will soon become a thing of the past as President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to officially lay the foundation ceremony of African biggest private refinery in Badagry, Lagos state.
This information was released recently by the Chairman of Sir Lawrence Refinery Limited, Sir Lawrence Famakinde Adedoyin while addressing our correspondent at Badagry, Lagos State.
Adedoyin, who was two times former Presidential candidate disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to lay the foundation ceremony of the new refinery, adding Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and other dignitaries were equally expected at the occasion.
Adedoyin said he has decided to bring the largest private refinery in Africa to Nigeria so as to reduce perennial fuel scarcity in the country’s filling stations.
According to him, “When the refinery starts production, fuel subsidy would be a thing of the past in Nigeria. We will refine our oil here and I can tell you that no refinery in Nigeria is bigger than our own. By October 14, President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari is expected to officially lay the foundation of Sir Lawrence Refinery Limited for it to fully kick off.”
Adedoyin who said he has the required skill of operating a refinery in Nigeria, adding that no fewer than one thousand young graduates would be train on the skill of how to refine oil and gas.
While praying for the success of the scheme, His Royal Majesty,Oba Oyekan Adekemi Ajose,Possi 111, Alapa of Apa also commended Adedoyin for bringing the company to Badagry west and to provide job opportunities for the people of the community.
“We shall all support you to fulfill this noble dream in our community,” the elated Monarch assured Adedoyin.
The General Manager of Sir Lawrence Refinery Limited, Engr. Solomon Okpithe, also thanked all the traditional rulers and youths for their cooperation, just as he assured them that they would do their best to bring development to the area.
Those that attended Sir Lawrence Refinery Limited opening prayers event were Chief S.O Oluroyapa, Chief Oku,Rev F. Adeniyi, Richard Ogoh, Olujide,Mrs Lawrence Adedoyin, Oladipupo,Peter Awute,Apa youths and many others.
