Ahead of the Nigeria Premier League February 16, 2013 kick off, Warri Wolves Football Club will on Tuesday, 5th, Febuary, 2013 engage the Nation’s U-20 National Team, The Flying Eagles in a friendly match.
According to the Media Officer of the Club, Moses Etu, the match will take place at the Warri Township Stadium and will start at 4pm and is expected to be exciting and explosive judging from the form of the Flying Eagles and the fact that they have played some Premier League before this encounter.

Some of the players of the Warri based Club who spoke after their Management confirmed the match revealed that even though it is a friendly match, the Flying Eagles will not want to lose having lost to Rangers last week.
Apart from that, the league is very close and they will want to convince the fans that they are ready for the season which is expected to start on the sixteen of this month.
“The players know what is at stake and having lost to Rangers, the fans will want to see what they can do, so they have resolved to take it seriously with the U-20 team. They know that they cannot afford to lose, just to convince the fans that they are ready for the season but it is not going to be a do or die affair.” said Etu
Meanwhile, Warri Wolves will after the friendly match move to Out-Jeremi in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the State for a one and half week rigorous camping to finally prepare them for the task ahead.
“Out-Jeremi is quiet with the right facilities, so we felt that the place is good enough for camping instead of going to other states who cannot boast of what we have there. The players will love the place and there will be no distraction. We will use the Flying Eagles match to see what is needed to be done and the camping will afford the technical crew the opportunity to correct the flaws.” Etu said.
