Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse II

WARRI—THE Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse II, has charged Itsekiri sons and daughters to be less self-centred and show more love, understanding and accommodate one another to make the Itsekiri better and more prosperous as a people.
The royal father also urged the elite to always assist the younger ones in the kingdom to attain positions of authority, wherever they find themselves in the course of their careers, businesses and professions to ensure an unbroken chain, quality and steady growth of human resources in Iwereland.

The Olu, at a dinner party organised by the frontline Itsekiri Progress Club, IPC, in Warri, with the theme: PIB and the implications for the Itsekiri People, noted that this was the only way to remain a vocal and quality minority, sought after in the Nigerian project.
Represented by the Ogwaolusan of Warri Kingdom, Chief Brown Mene, the royal father charged well meaning Itsekiris to emulate the IPC programme in their drive to ensure quality education for indigent and brilliant sons and daughters of the kingdom.
