Uduaghan Thanks Deltans over Peace, Security in Delta State

The Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan yesterday thanked all Deltans for the peace and security being enjoyed in the state and also appealed to every Deltan who involved in social vices to desist and stop giving the state a bad image.
He said that it is the responsibility of the state to secure the lives and properties of every Deltans and in the process of doing that could hurt persons or communities.

The Governor who was speaking during the Iwere Kingdom Annual Thanksgiving at the Foursquare Gospel Church Hall, Olu Palace (AGHOFEN) Warri said that the greatest achievement of Iwere Kingdom this year was the establishment of the Education Trust Fund spearheaded and supported by His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse II (CON).
Assuring the Olu of Warri of his full support, Dr. Uduaghan also stated that the future of every child lies in the education because Education Trust Fund (ETF) is the nuclear through which the children are educated.
Dr. Uduaghan said that the state government has established a model school at Esisi Road which is ongoing now and would soon be completed, this he said, include Nursery and Primary which would be built to a world standard.
According to him, “Let us not deny those who don’t have the money to give their children same type of education standard of rich children abroad. Government is laying a lot of emphasis on education, in the next two years not more than 40pupils/students would be for one classroom.”
The Governor, who stated that the government is still working on training teachers and has been giving scholarship to children with first class honour said that this is to help encourage Delta children on the level of education.
He thanked everyone who came for the thanksgiving to rejoice with the Iwere Kingdom.
