LAGOS SEPTEMBER 13TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has reiterated that Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole is raising false alarm against Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa in other to divert attention of Edo State electorates against the forth coming Edo State Governorship election.
Speaking against the backdrop of recent publication in print and social media where Oshiomole accused Okowa and Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike of mobilizing thugs to disrupt Edo State Governorship election and donation of N2bn to assist Edo State PDP Governorship aspirant, Pastor Ize-iyamu, the PDP Chieftain described the allegations as cheap blackmail made by a drowning man finding something to hold on to.
Onuesoke who disputed the fact that Okowa has no links with militants in the region and anywhere in the country and never made such financial donation, stated that despite Oshomiole’s pranks to postpone the evil day, Okowa would continue to give moral support to democratic forces, not just in the region, but across the country, to bring better life to Nigerians.
He pointed out that despite the postponement of the Edo State Governorship election, PDP will win the election if it is free and fair because Edo State people are tired of the deceit of APC government in the state.
“As it stands now, PDP is having better chance of winning Edo State Governorship election. APC has brought hunger and backwardness to the Nigerian people. No matter the level of sweet talk or destruction of opponents with false accusation, I do not think that any right thinking person will choose to continue in this hardship. People are done with lies, hatred and deceit brought by APC. They want to change the change and Edo State is the starting point,” Onuesoke affirmed.
