Super Eagles dependable defender and Warri Wolves Captain, Azubuike Egweke has returned to training with the team ahead the new Nigeria Premier League season.
The Africa Cup of Nations 2013 gold medalist doled out an undisclosed amount of money to the rest of the players.
Egweke’s coming threw the club training ground into a frenzy mood.
Coach of the team, Solomon Ogbeide, described. Egweke’s cash donation as the best thing that will go a long way in boosting the morale of the rest players to work hard.
Ogbeide also felt happy that Egweke returned to duty on time, the way it is done in Europe and commended him for the kind gesture towards the players.

He said: “From what I saw today, I now believe I have a dependable captain whom I can rely on at anytime.
“He brought a lot of money for the rest of the players, which is best the thing from a leader.
“He did not sit at home.
“Rather, he returned on time, which shows that he is a good leader.
“This will serve as a morale booster to the rest of the players and will help me in my job.
“If you have a good captain, I tell you, half of the problem is solved and I am happy for him.”
Meanwhile, Warri Wolves has appointed former Bendel United Goalkeeper, David Raisigba, as its goalkeeper trainer to replace Donwan Victor, who has since left the services of the club.
Disclosing this to journalist in Warri, the club’s Media Officer, Moses Etu, said there is the need to get a goalkeeper trainer to fill the vacuum left by Victor and an experienced person like Raisigba is the best for the position.
Out said: “We have just appointed a goalkeeper trainer in the person of David Raisigba, who played for Bendel United and some other clubs.
“We need his experience to help the goalkeepers and this will be good for us.
“He will be an asset to the club.
“He is cool headed and humble.
“He will be able to work with Coach Solomon Ogbeide and he has resumed with the club.”
