Solomon Edoja to head PDP Kwara Caretaker Committee

LAGOS JANUARY 13TH (URHOBOTODAY)-A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant in the 2013 Delta Central Senatorial by-election, Hon Solomon Edoja has been sworn-in to head a fourteen-member Caretaker Committee charged with the responsibility of repositioning the party in Kwara State.
Kwara State, is one of the States where party members including the State Governor, has defected to the opposition, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
While swearing-in the committee members at Abuja, the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Bamangar Tukur charged the committee to work hard towards ensuring that the party maintains its lead in the State.
Speaking with newsmen, Alhaji Tukur said the party is not perturbed by its current challenges adding that the party would emerge strong at the end of the tunnel.
On his party, the chairman of the committee, Hon. Edoja said the committee is going to Kwara to serve. In his words, he said, “We would ensure that the supremacy of PDP in Kwara is reinstated and we would go all out in actualizing this goal,” he added.
Edoja had contested the PDP primaries for the Delta Central Senatorial by-election but lost to Chief Emmanuel Aguariavwodo who subsequently won the election.
