NOLAFEST 2014: Nigerian Oral Literature Association Calls for Papers


LAGOS JULY 21ST (URHOBOTODAY)-Nigerian Oral Literature Association has called on participants to submit papers towards marking the Arts and Literatures of Nigerian Festivals taking place at the Royal Palm Hotel, Benin-City, Edo State from August 13th to 15tt, 2014.
A statement made available to Urhobotoday disclosed that the sub-themes include: Theories and Discourses on Nigerian Arts and Festivals /Song-Poetry and Dance-Songs/ Theatrics of Religious Poetry/ Orature and New Media/ Feasting on the Net / Cultural Aesthetics/ Oral Performance and National Integration/ Dramaturgy of Nigerian Festivals/ Orality and Leadership/ Nigerian Arts on Stage /Rituals and Diplomacy/Poetics of Conflict Resolution/Oral Literature and Political Fiesta/ Carnivals and Power-Politics/ Conceptualizing the Nigerian Entertainment Industry.
The statement however pointed out that the aforementioned topics are not exhaustive, as other areas of focus, within the purview of the conference theme would be accommodated.
The statement disclosed that abstracts of not more than 250 words are invited from prospective participants not later than July 30, 2014, adding that the abstract should be sent to Prof. G.G.
