NANS Demands more Funding for Petroleum Training Institute Warri

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has called on the Federal Government to improve on its support for the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Warri, Delta State in order to encourage technological research in the institution.
NANS gave the charge when the Editorial Board of NANS Voice Magazine paid a visit to the institution. While speaking at the media tour, the NANS Zone-B coordinator, Comrade Chinonso Obasi applauded the fortitude with which the institution is embarking upon research.
He noted that “the essence of the media tour is to ascertain the developments going on in the institution. Obasi said that “from our findings, we have gathered that the institution is poorly funded and this is a challenge to the productive capacity of the institution. We call on the Federal Government and the ministry of education to improve on the support given to PTI so as to enhance research and academic development.”
The Principal and the Chief Executive of PTI, Mrs. Nnenna Dennar thanked the Editorial Board of NANS Voice Magazine for such a warm visit and advised the students to take academics serious as nothing pays more than that.
The Chairman of NANS Voice Editorial Board, Comr. Jude Ezeibe thanked the management of PTI for kind audience and promised to partner with the institution in promoting a sound and worthy academic research in Nigerian institutions.
