Man Petitions Senate, EFCC over Fake EFCC Officials Allegedly Working for Okowa

Senator Ifeanyi Okowa

LAGOS DECEMBER 14TH (URHOBOTODAY)-A petition dated December 5 2013 has been forwarded to the Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ibrahim Lamorde by Hon Dumbiri Uweh over the activities of four fake EFCC officials over threats to his life and family members.
Uweh alleged in the two page petition, a copy of which was sent to the Senate President and Chairman of the National Assembly, Mr. David Mark that the fake EFCC officials alleged to do anything within their power to ‘silence’ him because of the political interest of their payment, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa who is nursing a governorship ambition in Delta State.
He alleged in the petition titled “Fake EFCC Fraudster, Threat to my family, kidnap, and plan to destroy my properties” that the fake EFCC officials threatened that they were working for their paymaster, Senator Okowa and they would stop at nothing in dealing with him.
He narrated that he erroneously played into the hands of the fake EFCC fraudsters led by one ASP John Idoko when they claimed that are the new officials handling his matter with Senator Okowa and the said Okowa was ready to settle the matter and pay him his money.
Uweh also claimed that they later told him that he needed to facilitate their trip to Asaba, Delta State capital where they would obtain some documents regarding the matter which he shamelessly fell for by paying N120,000 into their account out of the N150,000 naira they demanded, only for them to ask for another 100,000 additional stating that the delegation to Asaba was subsequently increased.
He added that the development made him to call Mr Hamza who he knew was handling the case earlier, only for him to confirm that he was still handling the matter.
Uweh said he had concluded to lick his wounds alone when the fake EFCC fraudster kingpin, ASP Idoko called him to demand for the payment of the additional N100,000 into the account for the said assignment, the development which made him lose his temper and told him off.
The petitioner claimed that Idoko told him that they would deal with him for petitioning the Senate President over his dealings with Senator Okowa and attempting to scuttle his future political ambition.
He also alleged that the said Idoko sent him a text that “I am ready for you, I will expose you, Return that cars to Delta State government and money you stole”. He said he also added that they would “they will kill me even if it will cost their life because of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa whose governorship ambition means so much to them and the cabal.
The man at the center of the whole event, ASP Idoko only flared up when our correspondent phoned him to get his reactions on the said transaction stating that “you should go ahead and publish whatever you want to publish”.
