The rejected posters on the street of Abuja

The presidency has washed its hands off President Goodluck
Jonathan 2015 presidential elections posters which now adorn the
streets of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In his swift reaction to the incident, the President’s spokesperson
Dr. Rueben Abati said pasting of the posters is from the president
detractors and not the president.

“The President has not launched any campaign; he believes that
those doing that are playing games. There is no reason for the
president to engage in any form of scaremongering. He has said
that by 2014 his position on the 2015 presidential race would be
made public. Nigerians should wait till then.” Abati stated.
Abati also added that “Those pasting the posters are trying to
express their own view. Those doing this do not have the consent of
the President.”
Meanwhile Opposition parties have criticized the Jonathan 2015
posters saying it is surprising that the president’s camp would
occupy their minds on 2015 presidential elections when the
president has not yet delivered on his 2011 electioneering
campaign promises.
