LAGOS FEBRUARY 7TH (URHOBOTODA)-President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointments of his former Media Aide, Mr Ima Niboro as Managing Director of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Other Chief Executives and Special Advisers whose appointments were also approved were Mr. Sola Omole, Director-General of Nigerian Television Authority {NTA), Alhaji Ladan Salihu, Director-General of Federal Radion Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Genera Martin Luther Agwai, Chairman of SURE-P, Mrs. Tanwa Olusi, Deputy Chairman of SURE-P and Mrs. Fidelia Njeze, Special Adviser (NEPAD).
A statement issued by the President’s spokesperson Dr. Reuben Abati said the appointment is in furtherance of the president’s efforts to continually strengthen his administration on all fronts.
Gen. Martin Agwai (rtd.) was until now the Deputy Chairman and Acting Chairman of SURE-P, while Mrs. Njeze is the current Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland.
Mr Ima Niboro was the immediate past Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity).
According to Abati all the appointments are with immediate effect.
