I’ve No Hand in Ewherido’s Death, Obule’s Illness —Amori

Chief Ighoyota Amori

LAGOS SEPTEMBER 3RD (URHOBOTODAY)— Following speculations that trailed the sudden death of the senator representing Delta Central senatorial district, Chief Pius Ewherido, which has created a vacuum in the Senate, Senior Special Adviser to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, Chief Ighoyota Amori, who doubles as the National Chairman of Urhobo Political Congress, UPC, has denied claims in some quarters linking him to Ewherido’s death.
Amori also denied any link with the ailment afflicting business mogul and multi-millionaire of Urhobo extraction, Chief Charles Obule, who is currently down with paralysis, saying he was innocent in the two calamities, which had befallen the two political and business prodigies.
Chief Amori, at an event in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state, where he declared his intension to contest the forth coming bye-election under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to fill the vacuum created by the demise of Chief Ewherido, canvassed for support of the people of Urhobo nation.
He asked them to send him to the Senate where he intends to bring “succour to the marginalisation and pains of the people at the national level of government,” given his performances in the affairs of the state government and his faithfulness to PDP and Governor Uduaghan, even in times of challenges, as among the various reasons he should be sent by Urhobo people of Delta Central senatorial district as their Senator in the absence of Chief Ewherido at the National Assembly.
