Following ongoing demolition of illegal structures on NPA Road, in Warri, Delta State, people of Loteyebiri Community in Warri Urban Area have appealed to the state government not to demolish or take over their community.
Chairman of the community, Mr. Bossman Azazi; Women Leader, Mrs. Joy Kpenu and Madam Tina Tobusi, in a statement, yesterday, appealed to the state government to reverse the decision, if, indeed, the news that it had planned to demolish and take over Loteyebiri Community was true.

They said: “A few days ago, we were informed that the state government was demolishing all illegal structures about three metres from the road side, which everybody in the state is aware of.
“Our community is made up of no fewer than 4000 people and if the houses are demolished, thousands of people would be rendered homeless.”
