LAGOS APRIL 18TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Human right organization under the aegis of Conference for Actualisation of Human Right (CHUR) has written a petit ion to Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Usman Dada urging him to arrest and prosecute Hon. George Timinimi a former Delta State Commissioner and the Managing Director of Sakunu Hydra base Concept Limited and his aides for the wanton destruction and demolition of a multimillion Naira building complex belonging to Mrs. Lovelyn Ejor.

CHUR who gave the Commissioner of Police seven days ultimatum to execute the demand also enjoined him to make public, the police officers who gave police cover to Timinimi by aiding him to carry out the wanton destruction of the aforementioned property.
Making the demand in a jointly petition signed by Barr. Omes Ogedegbe and Comrade Ozobo Austin the National Coordinator and National Secretary of CHUR respectively, which was made available to URHOBOTODAY an online medium, the group alleged that at about 7:30am on Sunday the 13th day of April, 2015, Timinimi accompanied by several thugs and police officers with some others identified as Mr. ChristopherTiminimi, Mr. Welfare Timinimi and Ikior Upele had mobilized two bulldozers to the site for the illegal demolition of a multi-million Naira complex under construction, complaining that Mrs. Ejor and her husband were dragged on the ground, assaulted and humiliated by police officers who insisted upon instructions from Hon. George Timinimi that they must not be allowed to go near the site.
The group argued that instead of the police of Orerokpe division to do the needful by arresting Timinimi and his lawless assailants, the police is shying away from its responsibility by demanding the arrest of the vendors who sold the said land when no case has been made out against the Vendors.
“It is against these backdrops that we hereby demand for the arrest and prosecution of Hon. George Timinimi to serve as deterrent to others of like minds who are in possession and control of state apparatus especially the police with whom they tyrannize innocent and law abiding citizens of Nigeria not for getting the current directive withdrawing police officers from private citizens with no exception to the person of Hon. George Timinimi.
“It is our demand therefore that the police at this highest echelon must withdraw the police officers attached to Hon. George Timinimi in line with the directive of no attachment of police officers to private citizens. Arrest and prosecute George Timinimi, Christopher Timinimi, Mr. Welfare Timinimi, Ikior Upele and their thugs,” the group maintained, stressing that the police must comply with these demands within seven working days of service.
