DESOPADEC Commissioner, Okolugbo Hails Uduaghan’s Conduct of Ad Hoc Delegates Election

Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan

NOVEMBER 15TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESPADEC) Commissioner representing Ndokwa Nation, Sir Kenny Okolugbo has commended the good works of Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan especially for the democratic way he allowed the leaders in each of the twenty five local government area of the state to participate in the elections of the three ad hoc delegates per ward in each local government area.
In a statement, Okolugbo described the Governor’s approach as alien in a time when most of the other states are crying of imposition of candidates.
He urged all the aspirants to avail themselves of the opportunity given in canvassing for votes among the elected delegates to be able to emerge in each of the elections they are contesting for, adding that it is unfair for anyone to criticise Uduaghan when he has gone overboard to ensure the freest election in the history of electing delegates towards the electoral college of the PDP.
“As politicians we should all try to play by the rules of the game. Let us not try to be spoilers just because we were not able to hijack the process of nominations and subsequent elections of the delegates. It is easier to destroy than build. This is the reason why we should all adhere to the PDP election guideline to enable the party come out stronger for the general elections,” Okolugbo advised.
