DESOPADEC Commissioner, Okolugbo Empowers 52 Women with Cash Assistant

Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Commissioner representing Ndokwa Nation, Sir Ken Okolugbo has empowered no fewer than 52 women with cash gift able them start a small scale business.
He, however, advised the women to use the fund judiciously and expend it on the purpose it was giving to them.
Okolugbo who gave the advise while presenting the cash to the women recently in his country home at Ubiaruku, Delta State said the human capital development programme of His Excellency , Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan is such that every body is feeling the comfort directly or indirectly as the time goes on, adding that this is reason the government is finishing strongest.

Okolugbo who on the same day presented starter packs which include a laptop, printer, generator and cash to rent a shop to no fewer than 53 Information Technology (ICT) graduates appreciated the kind gesture of Delta State First Lady Deaconess Roli Uduaghan whom he described as the woman behind the success story for the strong representation sent to Ukwuani for the presentation event.
“This included the Commissioner of Women affairs. Wife of the Speaker Delta State House of Assembly, Wife of the Deputy Speaker Delta State House of Assembly, wives of Commissioners and wives of the Chairmen of the twenty five local government areas of the State,” Okolugbo said, while expressing his gratitude to no fewer than five thousand women that graced the reception.
Okolugbo who promised to visit the wards to replicate the gesture, thanked them for the total support given to DESOPADEC and his Excellency Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghani.
The 52 women drawn from Ukwuani and Ndokwa West local government area of Delta State received the cash gift in appreciation of work done in Ndokwa Nation and empowerment of others.
In addition, no fewer than 53 youths received computer sets, power generating sets and printers with cash to open a shop of which to commence a business centre after intensive training on ICT from the Commissioner Representing Ndokwa Nation, Sir. Kenny Okolugbo, on the 30th of June, 2014 at Obiaruku grammar school.
it’s worthy of commendation, that at the reception /entertainment guests and various awardees present at the commissioner’s country home in Obiaruku.
According to him, the gesture was in line with Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s human capital initiative and also in appreciation to their support to Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s government, most especially DESOPADEC and its programs.
Those that were specially appreciated for their various supportive inputs especially during the execution of projects in their schools include, the Ukwani Local Government ANCOPPS Chairman and Principal of Obiaruku Grammar School, Mrs. Betty Otono and Comr. Mrs Onwuka Eunice Etuweonuma, Headmistress of Obioma Primary Owah-Abbi and leader of the headmasters in Ukwuani LGA.
