Delta State: Rainstorm Wrecks Havoc in Bomadi ….Renders 120 residents homeless
A heavy rainstorm has reportedly destroyed no fewer than 30 buildings in Bomadi Local Government area of Delta State and rendered over 120 residents homeless.
Urhobotoday gathered thar the rain storm which started on Thursday and lasted through till Friday, also destroyed 12 high tension electricity poles, throwing the community into darkness. Areas mostly affected by the disaster were the NDDC road and the Orubiri III quarters of the town.
Victims of the rain storm have resorted to taking shelter in homes of relatives and sympathizers. A leader in the area, Mr. Godspower Oporomo lamented the present ordeal of the people and appealed to the state government to take urgent steps towards ameliorating the pains of the affected persons.
