Fresh Angle gathered from police sources that the improvised explosive device is believed to have been planted at the night of Monday March 18 on the first floor of Mrs. Emily Okotie’s 4-storey building.

The O/C Police Anti-Bomb Squad “A” Division in Warri who declined to mention his name in an exclusive chat with Fresh Angle said “I cannot brief the press, you can go ahead and do your job”
The O/C Anti-Bomb Squad who was very flexible with pressmen unconsciously told newsmen that the improvised explosive device was planted on the foundation of the four storey building situated at plot 1&2 New-World City about 300 metres away from Yonwuren College, Ugbuwangue – Warri.
He noted that the luck the occupants of the four storey building had was that the power to the improvised explosive device has not been connected.
Fresh Angle can report that the improvised explosive device which is allegedly made up of dynamites is 12 in number and was constructed inside a wooden material with cable.
As at 10:00am when Our Senior Correspondent arrived New-World City at Ugbuwangue in Warri, the police led by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. A. Chukwuma had already condoned off the area with a view to making sure that everything was under control.
But as soon as the Anti-Bomb Squad was able to neutralize the improvised explosive device, some Youths in Ugbuwangue demanded to see the device with their eyes as they almost lock the gate to the entrance of the building where the incident occurred so as to ascertain the veracity of the claim.
It took the swift resistance of the policemen to hold the gate for their van to come out before they finally arrived the “A” Division in Warri.
Landlady of the building who spoke briefly at the office of the State Security Service, Warri, Mrs. Emily Okotie said “ I did not even believe my son when he told me there was bomb in my house”.
Mrs. Emily Okotie who is a popular community activist in Ugbuwangue said the perpetrators of the act knows where she sleeps in her house. According to her, the improvised explosive device was planted directly on top of her room at the first floor.
Mrs. Emily Okotie who said she does not know where the improvised explosive device emanated from and the reason why it was planted in her house further disclosed that a strange number called her 2 days earlier wanting to know her location.
She said the strange number has been calling her particularly at midnight, just as she willingly gave the number (08180464130) to operatives of the State Security Service in Warri.
