Delta State: Heavy Rainfall Creates Havoc in Urhobo Communities

Residents of Urhobo communities of Ugbolokposo, Ekete, Ebrumede, Ugbomro and Agbarho communities of Delta State were yesterday devastated following a heavy down pour that ravaged a lot of buildings and market places.
Indigenes of the communities have appealed to Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan to come to their aid.
It was a pathetic state at Ugbomro community in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state as the road leading to the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE) was completely covered by heavy erosion.

UrhoboToday learnt that some buildings at Agbarho have been submerged just as scores of residents have also been trapped inside their houses at Ekete, Ebrumede and Ugbolokposo communities.
Majority of the victims whose buildings were affected however called on Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to come to their rescue by constructing drainages.
The victims told Urhobotoday reporter that they have suffered heavy losses running into millions of naira. They called on the state government not to abandon them as the rains are fast approaching.
