Delta Senatorial Election: Delta Youth Movement Endorses PDP Candidate, Aguariavbodo for Senate

LAGOS OCTOBER 5TH (URHOBOTODAY)- As the electorates of Delta Central Senatorial zone get set to elect a candidate to fill the vacuum created by the demise of Late Senator Pius Ewherido in the House of Senate on October 12th, 2013, group under the aegis of Delta Youth Movement (DYM) has endorsed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Chief Emmanuel Agariavbodo for the vacant position of the Senate.
Arising from a executive meeting with full participation of the executive members of the group made up of Mr Lucky Ohwofasa Eghagbevwa, Mr. Ejiro Daniel Enyemike, Akpesiri Emorhokpor, Mrs Sahra Igho, Mr. Udoka Ossaiga, Mr. Chris Odozie and Mr. Martins Ogaga Oboh, the group in a press statement signed by the Director General and Founder of Delta Youth Movement, Mr. Lucky Ohwofasa Eghagbevwa after congratulating the various candidates for emerging as their parties flag bearer, however, decided to endorse Aguariavbodo as their choice candidate for the Delta Central Senatorial seat.
The statement argued that after due consideration of the various candidates contesting for the exalted office, Chief Emmanuel Aguriavowodo is the best candidate for the positions, based on his sound political career and experience in this arena.
The statement consequently appealed to all the members of DYM in the region to throw their weigt behind Aguariavbodo by working with him and mobilizing all their constituencies to vote for him come October 12th, 2013.
According to the statement, “DYM wishes to congratulate the various candidates in their representation of their various parties for the upcoming by-elections. The following candidates are; Mr Ede Dafinone; a Chartered Accountant representing DPP, Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor, Chartered Accountant and business expert representing APC, Chief Andy Osawota, lawyer and the former secretary of DESOPADEC representing Labour Party (LP) and Chief Emmanuel Aguriavowodo; former member of the House of Representatives and former Managing Director of NDDC representing PDP.
“The District has never had such well-versed candidates vying to represent their constituency in such exalted office. Nevertheless, after due consultation where all the candidates have been comprehensively analysed, Delta Youth Movement had concluded that Chief Emmanuel Aguriavowodo is the best candidate for the positions, based on his sound political career and experience in this arena.
“Consequently, Delta Youth Movement has endorse him as the next senator of Delta State Central. Thus, we urge all our members from this region to work with him and mobilise their consistency to vote for him.”
