LAGOS, MAY 16TH (URHOBOTODAY). Group under the aegis of Uvwie Restoration Group, otherwise known as the campaign organization of Hon Ramson Oghenetega Onoyake has declared equivocally clear and vowed that its cardinal objective is to deliver its principal Onoyake as the next Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, adding that Onoyake would defeat his opponents convincely within the scope of free and fair party primaries and general election.
Comrade Patrick Ogaga, Chairman of the campaign team assured that his principal would engage in massive infrastructural development of Uvwie Local Government. He gave the assurance during the inauguration of the Ward 1 Uvwie Local Government Area of the Restoratoin group at the Igbo Family Hall Alaka Quarters of Uvwie L.G.A.
Ogaga said they would not carry guns nor tear opponents posters but “rather our politics is to ensure peace, we will win through a peaceful election, we don’t need to carry guns nor tear our opponent posters. Those who are tearing our posters are afraid of Onoyake’s popularity. Our brand of politics is to make Uvwie centre of Urhobo and Delta State politics where we will be approach for commissionership, position, not we begging for it I Honourable Ramson Onoyoke is the next chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council” Stressing further as thus.
“As you know Onoyake is a kind hearted human being who is always ready to assist and also assisting people with his little resources during marriages, child dedications and burial ceremonies among others. He will not join people or anybody to fight or beat you.”
Ogaga disclosed that Hon. Onoyake is a known figure at the People Democratic Party (PDP) Headquaters in Abuja and that the essence of the inauguration of the group at the ward level “is for you to ensure a door to door campaign for the victory of Hon. Ramson Onoyake as the next Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council”.
In his speech the oldest politician in Uvwie land, Papa Uboh who said he stepped into politics since 1952, with Action Group (AG) declared his support for the political ambition and aspiration of Onoyake. He identified with the group philosophy of “civil Electoral victory” where election would be won without stealing and snatching of ballot boxes killings, maiming etc could happen in Uvwie while “sophisticated victory” which goes with violence, killings, snatching and stealing of ballot boxes above all litigatons in court and tribunal will not happen in Uvwie In Jesus name, Amen’.
He assured that the PDP is still the party to beat and stressed that he knows that if Onoyake wins, he would bring developments to Uvwie.
Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of umbrellas to Mrs. Mary Eriga and Papa Johnson Uboh by Hon. Onoyake campaign organization. Those sworn in as executive offices of the ward one restoration group are: Mr.David Akeni –Chairman, Mr. Udi Johnosn – 1st Vice Chairman, Edward Macaulay – 2nd vice chairman, Otemu Oghenetega – secretary. While apart from comrade Patrick Ogaga chairman, Mr. Henry Biyibi, Mr. Chidi Udensi, Mr. Freedom Itsekor, and Mrs. Philomena Odjegba, Executive officers of Honourable Onoyake campaign Organisation were present at the occasion.
