LAGOS MARCH 16TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Chairman of Erugba Community, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, Comrade Chris Agaga has written a petition to AIG Zone 5 Benin-City accusing Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) of Ogborikoko Police State, Warri, Delta State, ASP Banbagida Malam and some youth of Uvwie of attempting to kill him.
In the petition dated March 9 2016, Agaga equally accused Bangida Malam of abuse and excessive use of authority by circumventing the constitutional provision and abuse of his human right.

Uvwie youths petitioned along with the DCO accused of robbery, attempted murder, intimidation and threat of violence are Faith Magage, Samson Ashubu, John Abiowu,Fred Egbara, Tabunor Orugbo, Rukevwe Esievo, Panama Goddey, Anslem Efieta, Yabani Ukwu, Utie Alloy, Kelvin and Joshua Uyeh and among others.
Ada Val Areyinka Counsel to Agaga alleged in the petition that Faith Magege, Samson Ashubu, John Abiowu and Fred Egbara led by A.S.P. Babangida Mallam DCO Ugborikoko police station and some police officers “without any formal complain” went to arrest his client Mr. Christ Agaga at Paragon Hotel where he lodged and searched his room without his consent and without any search warrant.
He alleged in the petition that the DCO, Uvwie thugs, and other police officers carted away four hundred and fifty thousand Naira, wrist watches and phones belonging to Mr. Christ Agaga, who was in a meeting up stairs with the Managing Director of the Hotel.
It was also alleged that not satisfied with their “loot” ASP Babangida Mallam and his boys proceeded to order the management of the hotel to produce all keys of the rooms and thereafter ransacked the other rooms “illegally.
Ada Val Arayenka in the petition stated that, “When ASP. Y. Mallam Babangida accosted Mr. Christ Agaga, it was alleged that he threw him down from the story building. Leading to the fracture of both his ankles and when he was unable to stand one of the boys that accompanied Mallam Babangida proceeded to drag him on the floor while they were snapping him photos that they allegedly used to blackmail Christ Agaga in the social media. As we write the individuals are threatening to post same in the social media.
The petitioner also alleged that other lodgers and guests were equally robbed, molested and harassed by . Mallam babangida and his Uview thugs stressing that when the police discovered that Mr. Chris Agaga could not walk, he was bundled into their patrol van like a common criminal, while some of the thugs were singing war songs.
According to the petitioner, “On arrival at Ugborikoko police station, Agaga was made to crawl on his belly from the van down and then into the sell. In full public view, he was further denied food and water as well as drugs to treat his ailing legs. It was at this point a petition was written and sent to the area commander for transfer of the case who later order for the case file and suspect being transfer to his office but this order was vehemently refused by the DCO. It was police officer from Anti fraud unit zone 5 who took pity on Mr. Chris Agaga that upon seeing him crawling out from the cell with his belly they were moved with shock and pity for the man inhumanity to man by the police at Ugborikoko. They later freed him and asked him to go home and treat himself after which he can later respond to allegations against him.”
Meanwhile the Assistant Inspector General of police zone 5 has acknowledge the petition of Chris Agaga and minutes same and forwarded his own reaction through a letter RE- A CASE OF ROBBERY, ATTEMPTED MURDER, INTIMIDATION, AND THREATENING VIOLENCE BY (1) FAITH MAGEGE, (2) SAMSON ASHUBU (3) MR. JOHN ABIOWU (4) MR. FRED EGBARA the copy of the letter for necessary action by the AIG zone 5 signed by DCP Ipinmoroti Francis Oludare Deputy Commissioner of Police Department of Finance and Administration (for assistance inspector general of police zone 5 headquarter dated March 9 2016.
The petition was reportedly sent to the commissioner to Delta State Commissioner of Police in which the area commander Warri Nigerian police was copied for necessary action on the matter.
