As the Delta Central Senatorial election contest gets to its climax, members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Udu Community, Delta State, has thrown their weight behind Delta Central Senatorial Aspirant Olorogun Fred Okiemute Majemite.
Members of PDP in the community who pledged their support for Majemite in his quest to represent the Urhobos in the senate stated that Majemite has a track record of achievements in their community that no other candidate has achieved,

Speaking through their representative who is PDP Vice Chairman Udu Community, Mr Mike Ibada, they stated that they have long believed in the quality of Majemite as a credible leader who will work for the interest, development and unity of the Urhobos if giving the opportunity to be in the Senate.
According to Mike Ibada, “My people said I should thank you for the support you have been giving them ever since you found yourself in the corridor of Delta State government.

We believe you because we have witnessed your achievements in Udu community. We are fully behind you in your aspiration to represent the Urhobos in the Senate. You have been a consistent person and an achiever in this part of Urhoboland. We assure you that we will work for you.”
Speaking earlier, Majemite said he is happy and satisfied with the rate of development in Udu community. He said he had moved round Udu community as Commissioner and Personal Assistant to the Governor of Delta State Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, adding that the projects they initiated then are already yielding result.

He pointed out that one of the achievements is the Oleri projects which has provided employment for the Udu people. He stated that he was part and parcel of the projects hence he was the one who signed the Certificate of Occupancy where the project was sited when he was a Commissioner for Land.
He assured the people that Delta State Governor Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan is working assiduously to ensure that Oleri projects is completed before he lives office, adding that the community will experience the full advantage and benefit of the project after his completion.

“Few months ago, I transverse the whole of Delta Central where I took stoke of what government has done, what it is doing and what government will do. I sent the comprehensive report to His Excellency and I am sure that the development you are seeing here is as a result of that report. You can see there is massive reproduction of skills, construction and reconstruction of our roads, bridges and of course even the health sector is not left behind. His Excellency is in hurry to develop Delta State, especially Delta Central. We are happy the Governor is doing very well and those of us who have associated ourselves with him have no regret.

“I have moved round Udu community and the impact like what I said earlier is already being felt in the community. I will consult widely and do what Udu people want for them. I will attract a lot of development to Udu. I want you people to support me. Stand for me. I have been very steadfast in PDP. If I get there, I will not forget you. I am qualified and the blessing of God is with me. I thank you all,” Majemite said.
After living Udu community, Majemite consultation train paid a condolence visit to the former Chairman of Ethiope –East LGA, Chief Tony Oboro where he signed the condolence register. While praying for the soul of the mother of Chief Tony Oboro to rest in perfect peace under the bosom of the Lord, he enjoined Chief Tony Oboro to take heart over the demise of his mother, adding that God has a reason for everything that happens to a man.
