Delta Activist, Otive Igbuzor to Celebrate 50th Birthday with Physically Challenged

LAGOS AUGUST 28TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Dr. Otive Igbuzor an Activist and Executive Director of Africa Center for Leadership will be celebrating his fifty years birthday on Thursday September 5, 2013. The unique thing about the celebration of his birthday is that he will be celebrating with the physically challenged at Asaba Delta State.
A statement signed by Chuks Erhire made available to Urhobotoday via email disclosed that Igbuzor will be celebrating his 50th birthday with persons living with disability as a symbol of committing the rest of his life to working for the benefit of the poor and vulnerable in the society.
The statement which described Igbuzor as an evolving activist and politician added that the activist had impacted in the lives of people in several communities in Delta state through the Ejiro and Otive Igbuzor Foundation.
“My mission in life is to touch life spiritually, financially and to add knowledge to others. Fifty years is a significant milestone in the life of a person. It is jubilee – the year of freedom. God has been good to me. God has blessed me and my family immensely that we have not lack. I am celebrating my 50th birthday with persons living with disability as a symbol of my committing the rest of my life to working for the benefit of the poor and vulnerable in the society,” he disclosed.
Igbuzor who was born in 1963 in Ugono-Orogun, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state who is a renowned civil rights activist, strategist, philanthropist, pharmacist, political scientist, author and scholar is a former country Director of ActionAid International where he demonstrated that pro-poor initiatives can work in the transformation process of the lives of average citizens in a country.
He is a pharmacy graduate of the University of Benin and also a graduate of the University of Maiduguri where he had his doctorate degree in Political Science and two Master’s degrees in Public Administration as well as in Political Science and International Relations.
Igbuzor had impacted the the lives of people in several communities in Delta state through the Ejiro and Otive Igbuzor Foundation.
