LAGOS SEPTEMBER 3RD (URHOBOTODAY)-A political group under the aegis of Delta Political Vanguard which is in the forefront for soliciting grass root support for Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial aspirant, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa is soliciting the support of National Leader, Chief Edwin Clark CON and that of one his younger brothers, Alhaji ( Barr.) Isa Clark to join the political train of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
The group which paid a consultation visit to the residence of Alhaji (Barr.) Isa Clark at Ughelli, Delta State recently affirmed that it had appointed Chief Edwin Clark as the Patron of the group, while Isa Clark as one of the executive member and ‘Steering Driver’ of the organisation.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Chairman of Delta Political Vanguard, Evangelist Michael Diden popularly known as ‘Ejele’ disclosed that they have appointed Chief Edwin Clark as the Patron of Delta Political Vanguard, adding that because he is their patron they held the inauguration of members of the organization at Kiagbodo, Burutu LGA, home of the National leader.
Hear him, “Papa E.K.Clark is the patron of the organization. When we want to inaugurate the members of this organization, because he is the patron of the organization, it is nowhere but Kiagbodo his hometown. Before doing it, we took permission from him and he approved it.”
However, Urhobotoday is yet to confirm if Chief Edwin Clark has accepted the patronship of the organization or not.
Turning to Alhaji (Barr) Isa Clark, the representative of Itsekiri on the board of DESOPADEC maintained that Pa. E.K. Clark cannot be a patron of the organization without Isa Clark not being part of the executive of the group.
“So today we have come to make it known to you that you are not just part and parcel of the organization, but one of the steering drivers of this group. We have checked you and all of us have agreed that you are qualified for the position. No oral interview. The purpose of our coming here is to celebrate with you as one of our members,” Diden affirmed.
Responding, Isa Clark said he felt elated for the honour bestowed on him by the group by appointing him as a member of the group despite that he was not consulted officially and they did not follow the membership criteria they put in place.
He, however, promised to align with whatever step his father, Chief Edwin Clark takes towards the organisation.
“I felt elated for making me your member even without consulting me and not following the condition you put in place for membership. Whatever step my father takes, I will also align with. So if he is the patron of Delta Political Vanguard, there I belong also,” Isa Clark affirmed.
Isa Clark however charged the group to plan and strategise very well, saying, “Because when you are called to wrestle, other competitors will be prepared as well to match you strength to strength, tactics to tactics. If I have a piece of advise to proffer with just one intention for achieving your goals, I will put it across at the proper time. “
Members of the group present during the consultation were Hon Asupa Foteta, Nicholas Efele, Hon Hope Igeme, Orumoni Sylvester, Chuka Ossai, Vincent Uduaghan, Mr Idigho , Fude Obyia and Chief Lelekumo Banson among others.
