LAGOS MAY 24TH (URHOBOTODAY)-The evidence of clearance presented by the management of Ambrose Alli University and the Nigerian Police seems to have put to rest the allegations making the rounds over forgery of degree certificate leveled against DESPODEC Commissioner representing Ukwuani Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State, Sir Kenny Okolugbo.
A certified document emanating from the Office of the Registarar of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State signed by Actibg Registarar of Ambrose Alli University, Fola Ade Ojo-Maliki made available to Urhobotoday cleared Kenny Okolugbo of allegation of certificate forgery and impersonation.
The document with Reference Number CR:3000/FIB/FHQ/ABJ/VOL.3/120 dated November 26th, 2012 titled, “ Clarification of Degree Certificate-Mr Okolugbo Kenny” stated the school’s record had shown that Mr. Okolugbo Kenny Ekenechukwu with matriculation number 18444 was admitted into the school in 1992/1993 session to study Political Science, adding that he graduated in 1996/1997 session with a Second Class lower division.

A certified statement of result made available to Urhobotoday from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State also confirmed that Kenny Okolugbo graduated from the University in 1997 with a second class lowe degree in Political Science.

“After a painstaking check and full scale investigation on the University records with regard to the suspects University entry requirements and academic records, it was discovered that the allegations of forgery and impersonation leveled against the suspect (Sir Kenny Ekenechukwu Okolugbo) is baseless and unfounded,” police investigation disclosed, adding that it is based on the foregoing that the Inspector General of Police directed that the petitioner, Mr Confidence Ajede be charged to court for giving false information to the police as he cannot use the police to scuttle the ambition of a responsible citizen in the name of politics.
