Belgium,France Business Delegates Woo Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce

LAGOS MARCH 10TH (URHOBOTODAY0-A three man delegation, from Belgium/France business consortium, Brenntag Export made a strategic stop over at the office of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce (PHCCIMA) in continuation of business visit to Rivers state to woo PHCCIMA members, establish business relationship, and seek for representative in their diverse business interest as the hub of the private sector in the state.
Speaking on behalf of other members of the delegation, the leader of the group, Mr. S.J Ashto said Brenntag is the world’s leading distributor of chemicals and solvents on behalf of major oil and general chemical companies globally, adding that the consortium also offers full range of products for every phase in the movement of oil from drilling, through refining to the petrol and diesel in the tank.
He noted that the group wishes to establish a strong presence within the Port Harcourt area, especially in the area of warehousing of its product and also very importantly in the area of having sole representatives in the following business areas mentioned thereof.
For upstream activities, he said the group will need representation from companies basically dealing on drilling, Mu services, chemical supplies, Pipelines Cleaning and Related Services including companies that supply Chemicals for Dredging.
For the mid stream activities Mr. Ashto explained that the group will like to deal with companies with Contact details for refineries, companies supplying chemicals (Especially Solvent) to the Refining Industry and Companies supplying services to the refining Industry.
Lastly, he said in the downstream activities, it would need representation from companies engaged in the blending and supply of lubricant, companies engaged in the supply of chemical additives for lubricants among others.
The leader of the delegation requested that the companies whose areas of interests are stated above should indicate interest and have business contact through the management of the Port Harcourt chamber of commerce.
In his remark the Director General of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Erasmus Chukunda who stood in for the president, Engr. Emeka Unachukwu welcomed the delegation to the hallowed chamber of PHCCIMA, He gave assurances that their visit was apt and timely saying they have come to the right place. He said one of PHCCIMA’s major objectives is to ensure that businesses and commerce thrive within their city of operation and beyond; this according to him is achieved by opening vistas of green opportunities of this nature for its members and creating invaluable partnership with foreign companies that will be mutually beneficial to all.
He assured them that the message will be firmly dispersed and in no time PHCCIMA companies will start indicating interest, and their names will forwarded.
