“Today you can see that DESOPADEC has performed creditably. In giving the performance of 2012 budget, over eighty percent in my mandate area have been completed. It is also like that in other mandate areas. It has never happened in the history of DESOPADEC before now. We achieved this feat because we are always consulting with the people. Gone are the days you sit in the comfort of your office and begin to plan for the people. You meet the people and feel their impact.

That is what we call need assessment. Let the people tell you what they need. It is what they need that we put into budget. When it comes to execution, you have to give it to competent people. You do not give a road construction to a man that has no shovel. You can see that we have completed most of the project in 2012. Go to Umieghen you will see water running and go to Ufuoma you will see street light, go to Ughelli you will see good road at Oka street” Obiuwevbi disclosed as the crowd continue to sing praises of Uduaghan’s achievements.

Bringing the government closer to you and making you benefit from the dividend of democracy. Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan has giving us this opportunity. He has instructed us to give buses to HOSTCOM communities. Before now host communities have experienced difficulties in transportation. This is why Chief Ominimini Obiuwevbi is here today. You might not know how these things work. If you look at our budget, you will see that there is no provision for HOSTCOM buses in our budget. It is the brain child of the men sitting down here that has made it possible. We have taught of what to do to the oil producing communities to ameliorate their suffering by providing social amenities like means of transportation,” Okolugba who said he presented a bus to Ukwani HOTSCOM members recently disclosed.
