Abraka PDP Leaders Allege Marginalisation by Delta State Govt

Delta STate Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan

LAGOS SEPTEMBER 14TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Three chieftains of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from Abraka, Delta State, have called on the state government to stop the marginalisation of people of the area.
The chieftains, Chiefs Anthony Onoharigho, Kesito Oweh and Sapele Atigogo, alleged that the government had left out Abraka in the implementation of its three-point agenda.

Chief Onoharigho, former National Financial Secretary of Accord Party, before joining PDP, said since he joined the party, he and his supporters have continued to appeal to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to look in the direction of Abraka, when making appointments into boards of parastatals.
According to him, Abraka as a university town, deserves a full fledged commissioner or special adviser to the governor.
Chief Oweh, appealed to the state government to do something about the long neglect of Abraka since democracy took root in the country, adding that now was the time for the area to witness some developments.
“I am proud to be an indigene of Abraka, so also am proud to be a PDP faithful, I will die as an Abraka man, so also I will die as a PDP man but what we are saying is that we need good roads, electricity, pipe borne water and appointments from the state government,” he said.
Chief Atigogo said the state government should not punish the people of Abraka unnecessarily or unjustly because the leader of the opposition in the state hailed from the area.
