The Ondo State Male and Delta State Female Volleyball teams on Sunday won the second edition of the Samsung Electronics Male and Female Beach Volleyball Championship.
In the male category, Team Ondo defeated Delta state 21-13, 21-12 to record a 2-0 win over their opponents and clinch first position in the championship.
Team Delta defeated Nigeria Immigration 22-20, 11-21 and 15-12 to win 2-1 in the finals of the female category.
The three day championship kicked off on March 29 with 12 out of the 20 expected teams.
The Nigeria Immigration Service won third place in the male category after defeating Bayelsa 2-0; while in the female category, Bayelsa defeated Delta State University, 2-0, to win the third place.
The first place teams in both categories went home with N150, 000 and a 32-inch LED television for each player.
The runners up in both categories got N120, 000 with a refrigerator for each player, while the third place teams got N100, 000 with a microwave oven for each player.
The fourth place teams in each category got N30, 000 with a DVD player for each player.
