Kidnappers of E.K.Clark’s Son Demand N50m Ransom

LAGOS APRIL 4TH (URHOBOTODAY0-The abductors of Chief Ebikeme Clark, son of Ijaw national leader and South- South representative at the ongoing National Conference, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark has demanded for a ransom of N50m for the release of his son.
Ebikeme, the second son of Clark, was on Wednesday kidnapped by heavily armed gunmen at the site of the proposed Chief E. K. Clark University of Technology, Kiagbodo, in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

A family source who did not want his name on print disclosed to URHOBOTODAY that the kidnappers made a call to Chief E.K. Clark yesterday night asking him to pay N50m ransom for the freedom of his son.
The source revealed that Clark also spoke with his son who told him that he is in good condition of health. He, however, appealed to his father to facilitate the payment urgently so that he could gain his freedom.
Our informant could not specify if E.K.Clark is dancing to the tune of the kidnappers or not.
Meanwhile, URHOBOTODAY gathered that another suspect had been arrested in connection with the kidnapped of Ebikeme Clark, The latest arrest made it two suspects who are arrested in connection of the kidnap saga.
According to our source one of the suspect is an Ijaw, while the other one is an Urhobo by tribe.
