2015: Amori Drums Support for Urhobo Unity ….As UPC Endorses UPU Alliance with Arewa Consultative Forum

The National Chairman of the Urhobo Political Congress UPC, Chief Ighoyota Amori has said that ahead of the politics of 2015, the Urhobo political class is very ready for the governorship race, stressing that Urhobo is a comfortable majority and therefore a major stakeholder in Delta politics.
While addressing newsmen after the National Executive meeting of the UPC over the weekend, he stated that the National body of UPC endorsed the recent alliance by the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU and Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF and enjoined the leadership of the UPU to also reach out to the West and East and other minority ethnic groups in the country to expand the sphere of the Urhobos politically.
He noted that move by UPU is in line with their political thinking in UPC and that they would continue to support the UPU the Urhobo Apex body and would enlist to be in future movement in other to have a united front.
Chief Amori however, condemned the attack by some inconsequential group on the step of the UPU, describing them as comment coming from myopic disoriented people who cannot see beyond their nose.
Speaking in the same vein, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege said that what the UPC is busy doing now is to galvanize the Urhobos ahead of 2015 without necessary overheating the polity.
He added that shortly the National Executive and the Elders Council of the UPC will make their stand known on 2015, nothing that there is no reason why the Urhobo should dance itself lean, as the race is not one off thing. He also enjoined the Urhobo people not to panic ahead of 2015, as the UPC is intact and on course.
