LAGOS FEBRUARY 12TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Contrary to reports in some section of the media, Nigerian former President, Gen Olusegun Obasanjo has denied saying he endorsed the APC Presidential candidate Gen Mohammadu Buhari.
It would be recalled that some section of the media has reported that Obasanjo had on Tuesday in Nairobi, Kenya during an interview with the Financial Times of London at the launch of his controversial autobiography entitled, ‘My Watch,’ expressed support for Buhari.
But Obasanjo in an interview with Channels TV Correspondent, Doris Okenwa monitored by Urhobotoday denied saying he has endorsed Buhari.
Rather, the former head state said he told journalists that he would make his point known after studying both presidential candidates of PDP and APC.
According to him, “I did not endorse Buhari as such. What I said was that I will make my point known after studying both presidential candidates based on the track records of candidates, their achievements and those who ask him for support.”
He said he is still studying both candidates
