Four Days Burial Ceremony Line-Up for Urhobo Leader Pa Ighomrore

LAGOS DECEMBER 12TH (URHOBOTODAY)-The families of Ighomrore Odjegba of Uthumarho quarters Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Areas and Ejerhimu of Kwighene in Okpe Local Government Area all of Delta have lined up three days burial ceremony for their dearly beloved father, grand- father, great grand- father and uncle Late Pa London Ukpanu Ighomrore who died at the age of 101 years.
The programme for the burial ceremony according to a statement signed by Tony Ighomrore and Deacon Sharp Ighomrore for the family made available to Urhobotoday will commence with a service of song on Thursday, December 12th, 2013 by 4 pm at his home at 10th Urhumarho Street, Effurun, Warri, Delta State.
The statement disclosed that on Friday, December 13th, 2013, his corpse will leave the mortuary at Veenel Clinic, Okumagba Estate, Warri to Corpus Christy Catholic Church, Jakpa Road, Effurun, thereafter to his home for lying in state and interment, adding that reception would follow immediately at Urhobo College, Effurun by 12.noon.
The statement further disclosed that t in- laws’ greetings and reception would take place at his residence on December 14th, adding that outing and thanks giving service would take place on December 15th at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Jakpa Road, Effurun.
Pa Ighomrore who is the Late Okpakp R’Evwo of Uvwie and survived by many children, grand children, great grand children and great, great grand children was one time pro term secretary of Urbobo Progressive Union (UPU) which during pre independent toured every nook and cranny of the Nigeria to show and support every Urhobo son’s and daughter’s in every area of their endeavours most especially in business and trade .
He is an administrator of repute, activist, honest, selfless, humble and a teacher. A former Bursar of Urhobo College Effurun, an incorruptible educationist whom most treasured pride in his life time was to see the plethora of the Urhobos in academic achievement in every compass of education pinnacle, which was nonpareil in his pursuit.
