LAGOS NOVEMBER 29TH (URHOBOTODAY)-Ika Youth Forum for Change has dumped all governorship aspirants of Ika origin jostling to become governor of Delta State in 2015 for the House of Assembly Speaker, Victor Ochei, saying he is the most qualified aspirant in the state.
The youths who disclosed this during the forum’s visit to its members at Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of the state, noted that their desire to dump candidates of Ika origin was borne out of their desire to enthrone a capable person as the state governor in 2015.
Chairman of the Ika forum, Comrade Godfrey Chukwuka Morka, who spoke on behalf of the group, thanked members for their commitment towards ensuring that Ochei becomes the next state governor.
He described Ochei as a detribalized leader who believes in collective approach to governance, adding that he was a generally accepted candidate with people-oriented initiatives. He stated that they had to join forces with DFG to make Deltans know that the people of Ika are fully in support of Ochei emerging as the next governor of Delta State after Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s tenure has ended.
