FG Appoints Urhobo Activist, Otive Igbuzor into Board of Police Service Commission

President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has appointed the Executive Director of the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Centre LSD), Dr. Otive Igbuzor into the board of the Police Service Commission.
A statement by the Programme Coordinator of Centre LSD, Monday Osasah made available to Urhobotoday disclosed that Igbuzor’s name was sent along six others for confirmation by the National Assembly.
Igbuzor whose last service at the Commission was described by close watchers as meritorious under the Chairmanship of retired DIG Parry Osayande, would be going to the board with very rich experience that will surely bring a new lease of life to the workings of the Commission.
At the last board, Igbuzor chaired various committees including committee on strategy, recruitment and contributed to several policy formulation at the Commission. Some of the Policies include, domestic violence, in-custody death and gender policies.
The Police Service Commission is responsible for recruitment, promotion and discipline of Police officers except the Inspector General of Police.
The management and staff of the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) rejoice and celebrate with its Executive Director and wish him another successful service to the nation.
