Delta State Government has paid monetary stipends to the students of school of health technology, Ufuoma, amidst protest from the students of over 50% short payment in their bursary.
It will be recalled that a group known as Delta Decides 2015, had drawn the attention of the state Governor, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, to the none payment of the students stipends.

The spokesman of the students, Comrade Jude Imah, thanked the state governor for his prompt respond, and also thanked the entire exco of Delta Decide 2015 for bringing the issue to the desk of the state governor. He said “while we appreciate our governor’s kind heart, we wish to draw his attention that the money have not fully been paid as was announced on Radio. What we (each) students received was sixty thousand N60,000 as against N135,000.”

In response, the State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan stated: “My Government is committed to qualitative education in Delta State. The stipend is meant to ameliorate the hardship faced by students; therefore, any amount owed the students shall be paid promptly. I advise students of the School of Health Technology, Ufuoma, to concentrate on their studies with the discipline required for coming out with flying colours. The future is definitely bright for them.”
