Vanguard Commends Delta State CP Alertness to Distress Call

Asaba—MANAGEMENT of Vanguard Media Limited, yesterday, commended Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, for his promptness in providing adequate security for its new factory site in Asaba.
General Manager Publications/Editor-in-Chief Vanguard Newspapers, Mr. Gbenga Adefaye, who made the commendation when he led a delegation of the company’s management on a courtesy visit to the police boss at the state police headquarters, Asaba, said: “We of the Vanguard Media Limited, publishers of Vanguard newspapers, have come to build a factory here in Asaba as part of our expansion plan. But unfortunately, as we were starting work, some miscreants came encroaching on our land and molesting us
.
“Our chairman had said I should come to say a personal thank you for the security provided to checkmate their nuisance.”
Responding, Mr. Aduba, said: “The police have the primary responsibility to provide security for all and sundry, especially at some flash points and we will continue to discharge the duty without fear or favour.

“We are media friendly and I wish to thank the media, especially Vanguard for its objectivity. We have been working with the media and will continue to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to achieve a crime-free environment.”

Other management staff on the entourage were the AGM Administration/Legal, Mrs Omasan Amuka-Dudu; Financial Controller, Titi Jolaosho; Operations Manager, Mr. Sunday Awevia; Administration Manager, Mr. Victor Gotevbe; Internal Auditor, Mr. Sola Ojo and Deputy Administration Manger, Mr. Hassan Balogun.
