A 37- year old Fabian Enudi of Abbi village, Abraka in Ndokwa West LGA of Delta State, who specialises in drug trafficking has been arrested by the Imo state police command. Also arrested was 41 year old John Iwuala from Ezinihite Mbaise who kidnapped and raped a13 year old girl.
Parading the suspect who resides at 34 Mission Road, Abbi Abraka, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Muhammad Musa Katsina said that the suspect was arrested by men of the Ambush Squad of the command in a black Nissan Pathfinder jeep with registration number LU 366 ABJ on Ohaji Road.
“After searching the vehicle, a total number of 53 bags of 40kg Indian hemp (Canabis Sativa) were recovered,” the CP said.
The command said Iwuala “who disguised as a philanthropist representing a very popular NGO in Nigeria and claimed to have a mandate to scout for children from poor parental background in order to sponsor their education.”
The CP further stated that it was in that guise that he met the family of a 13 year old girl (name withheld) and convinced them to release their daughter to him.
“And having convinced them, he agreed to take their daughter to his office to conclude the necessary formalities and it was in the process that he diverted to a hotel where he unlawfully imprisoned or confined the little girl, intimidated and subdued her to submission before he had forceful intercourse with her,” the police boss said.
