Tompolo Inuagurates Foundation in Warri

Ex-militant, popularly known as Tompolo, has inaugurated a foundation codenamed Tompolo Foundation in Effurun, Delta State.
The foundation, before now, has made several donations of education materials to schools and relief materials to internally-displaced persons in Delta State.
According to the secretary of the Foundation, Comrade Paul Bebenimibo, the launching witnessed by high representation from the Presidency, government functionaries and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
He disclosed that the Foundation has donated education materials to schools in Warri-South West as a pilot project, but with the inauguration, several schools would be given complete school uniform, bags, pairs of sandals, socks, text books, notebooks, recreational materials and writing materials.
Comrade Bebenimibo stated that the launching would signal the official commencement of a long list of activities aimed at meeting the educational needs of pupils and students in Delta State as well as motivational packages for teachers.
“Tompolo want to ensure that the public schools in the area compete with the private schools; he wants to ensure that the students are comfortable in schools; he knows that with education, the sky is the limit for anyone.
“He wants a solid start for the pupils and students; he believes in empowerment of the teachers so that they will be motivated to work and he wants to take the burden off the shoulders of parents,” he said.
